Email Piping Setup

Good evening all

Hope everyone is well. I need some support in setting up the ticketing system with office 365 and email piping from clients. I have had a look at the guides and seems to be a lot of misleading information on how to setup correctly. Some help would be great. I am not using oauth2 at all as I am aware it flow does not support it at this time.

Microsoft, in their infinite wisdom, has now permanently blocked password authentication for IMAP. There was a small time where you could postpone it, but I now believe "legacy auth" is blocked entirely.

We plan to add support for oauth at some point, but there is no set date yet. We have recently swapped the module we use for fetching mail so this is at least now a possibility (the standard mail module had no oauth support at all).

I know someone was using an oauth proxy to make this work with 365 until we add support, but have no further info.

Ok thanks for the info. Still really confused. All I want to do is if a customer raises a ticket I get a notification.

This would be separate to parsing incoming email. You can get a notification when a client raises a ticket in the portal (or via email if this was working, which it does not with 365 by default) by specifying an email address in Settings > Ticket > "Email address to notify when new tickets are raised (Ideally a distribution list/shared mailbox)"
