Feature Request - API read by MAC

I'm working on a network asset import script, but the read API just needs a query by MAC address.

Fantastic Ill get this added but there is going to be a major update that will occur before we do so. We cant release the major update yet until we release a smaller crucial update.

This update will bring many little fixes along with the removal of multi company setups and it will fix the issue with the dropdown not showing all the options if only 1 item in on the list

johnny Yes. At first it wasn't until I realized I had one script sending mac address with colons and another sending with dashes. It drove me crazy for a while and I almost sent another bug report.

Hi @felix technically it should be stripping out all characters except A-F and 0-9 so it wouldnt matter what other text in the MAC field gets sent across it will just trip them out

johnny Oddly enough, each script would only recognize assets created by the individual script. The only difference was the PC script uses colons and the network scanner used dashes when determining the address to search by. They both use colons now and each script can update assets created in the other (network scanner only updates IP address, location, and network).
