It just didn't connect when I did that.

I created my own workaround in the cron ticket email parser.

At Line 360, I commented out the $inbox_mailbox = $mailbox . 'INBOX';

And hardcoded my config by setting $inbox_mailbox = '{127.0.0.1:1993}INBOX':

Working for now.

oh interesting, ill have to look into that more.

Is you imap host set to 127.0.0.1? and port 993 in the settings?

Yea. I'm running the oauth2 email proxy (to connect to Microsoft 365) on the ITFLOW server.

Something about the connection being unencrypted makes php imap_open very cranky.

I get an error message when manually calling the email parser now, but it still checks the box and downloads mail.

well what happens if you set encryption to none. Technically you don't need it, if your proxy is local

So it has always been set to none on the proxy since I set it up. The same with the settings in ITFlow.

It was working, until I applied updates tonight. About two weeks worth.

Something broke in the process. I'm guessing something about php imap changed with the update… Maybe it ignored any errors in the older version but the new version balks at unencrypted connections? Syntax is different? 🤷

I think this was probably my issue last time when I attempted to update and ended up rolling my VM back from backup.

I remember previous forum posts where php_imap does not like connecting without encryption.

@MMRHC We just pushed out a potential fix to allow unencrypted IMAP connections in the mail ticket parser, can you please update and confirm?

Updates applied. The proxy is showing successful authentications every minute. A manual run of the cron ticket email parser does spit back the following warning:

That PHP notice can be ignored.

Just to confirm is mail parser working for you now?
