Recurring invoice service dates

Most recurring bills, phone, internet have service dates.

Is there a way to have service dates automatically updated with recurring invoices?

Example: I send an invoice on Nov1 that has a due date of Dec 1. I want the service date to be 11-1 through 11-30.

Could the same process be used to calculate the service dates?

Or since invoices are recurring, make it something that doesn't need to account for different dates, like a dropdown with 'Current month' 'previous month' 'next month' and the month is listed by name i.e. October, instead of dates.
