hello itFLOWERS….I am playing around with this web app and before user avatar was okay when i upload and save and the favicon was not saving…..
I deleted a contacts and saw in database they were still there so i deleted from there and then fixed the numbers of the remaining clients to like 1, 2, 3 instead of 4, 5, 6 since i deleted 1 to 3…then after that i could not add contacts to clients or to tickets…when i click add client, i got blank drop-down list. but dashboard showed number of client. Same applies to deleted clients. if you have duplicate clients and delete some, they still remail in the database…now deleting from database side comes the trouble
how did i end up with duplicated client accounts? well while saving the account after entering data in all fields, i got a page cannot be displayed, so i tried to refresh the page…so each page refresh, still saved the client…after clicking back page to dashboard…i saw 3 of the same client account.
so i deleted everything and started a fresh installation and i guess git pulled a brand new version 1.6.6 which now i cant save avatar. i checked file permissions to make sure they are perfect….i can save company logo
I swear!!! i always thought i am the most brilliant when it comes to ideas, but team behind this itflow got me thinking again…like you really put in the work and it was the right path. I have and still using 2 out of 3 invoice apps and itflow actually got it right, EXCEPT FOR FEW IMPORTANT things. same concept….same idea but itflow beats all of them!
If you could..
- Add or incorporate PRODUCT or MATERIAL for physical products like Screws, door locks, door chimes, HDMI splitters etc….it will be great so most of can run a little shop inventory of the materials we use the most….some shops gives contractor discount so you can stock up and reduce trip to the shop…
- VENDOR or SUPPLIER will also help us keep the stores that sells what we need the most, the stores that give business 2 business (B2B) price, store credits etc. I know you have the VENDOR option but it looks like it is more intended for another purpose…or you got a really good form so let's link or give it to PRODUCT or MATERIALS….when creating an EXPENSE, vendor field is mandatory…which i should be optional because not all expense will need a vendor input
- The TRIPS idea is a brilliant move…to calculate travel distances to or between job locations. I was hopping the address fields had google map integration to help with pulling address and calculating milage / kilometers or distance….but hey, leave me some work to do so i don't be lazy lol…typing the details from checking distances on my phone map not that hard
- VEHICLE MAINTENANCE or CHECK LIST can be added to itflow so that we can always circle out work vehicle to note down stuff, record millage before and after shift, oil change due dates etc. maintenance record keeping. BONUS: calendar, reminder for appointment with auto mechanic, scheduled vehicle appointment.
- REOCCURING TICKETS: could be REOCCURING APPOINTMENT for a follow up with certain services. Maybe, to go and replace batteries in wireless sensors of alarm systems, to go can complete an unfinished job….(just an opinion) because the word TICKET in itflow is doing more towards the WORD APPOINTMENT
- If possible, can we have a way to create a contract or upload one for clients to acknowledge if not the ability to sign.
- WORK ORDER FORM wink wink!!…this way, one can fill out a form to what was actually done versus the initial service requested.
You have done a robust work and I believe in your vision and I can expect some of what i have listed above in the near future. God bless your mindset.
