Email Ticketing Documentation

Currently see that the Documentation is being updated to the new wiki and I'm having issues getting Email to tickets setup. Is there anyone here that has a link to the latest on how to set this up so I can review my work?

My instance can send test emails - and I can confirm I receive those emails from the application. I can also click the "Test Email Receiving" and get a "Connected Sucessfully" box. I have setup the cronjob, however I do not seem to be pulling in new tickets from my testing. I have a inkling I'm just missing something obvious here.

Make sure email to ticket parsing is enabled under settings - ticket. Aside from that, if the email domain is not recognized as one of your clients it will ignore the email for the moment. It's a known issue that's being worked on.

I found where I was dumb - set cronjob up wrong…

Outside of that I did some testing with client and found that you had to set the "Website" under the client to be the domain used for their email, I'm assuming this is how its supposed to work for now?

Thanks for the response earlier. Much appreciated. So far loving the project - would love to help out where possible even if it is documentation.

bhampton Yes, that's the intended function for now. Once the API gets expanded to create tickets and chat is implemented it'll open up even better ticket creation. I'm planning on using DSupportSuite to offer access to the chat if during work hours or if not a form that creates a ticket. Either option will create the ticket and supply the computer name.

This project really is fantastic now and will only get better shortly. Make sure you check out the API scripts in the example repo. They'll let you quickly populate your assets if you're using TRMM. Even if you're not on TRMM a few simple changes can make them work for any other RMM.

felix I was actually looking for a RMM tool - and TRMM looks to be EXACTLY what I need. Thanks for the recommendation.

Also, looking forward to your contributions to the ticketing system! I'm no developer but I'll find someway to contribute where I can!

bhampton TRMM is the way to go. Learn the script manager first then the automation manager. Eventually you figure out remediation automation scripts like: if RAM is used over threshold, install and run RAMMap. Just make sure you don't price too low so you don't run yourself out of business.

I tried contributing some code, but it's not my strong suit. Luckily, the devs here are amazing and they go out of their way to accommodate my needs (mysql).
