I have searched and searched and I do not see anything about hardware specs for installation, does anyone have these or a recommended size guide? I am basically wanting to know how much cpu, memory, and hard drive space to go with. I would like to start big enough now that I dont have to worry about it for years, but I dont know what that would be.

Deb12 LXC container 1 vcpu/256MB 10gb ssd behind reverse proxy is fine, although I'm still testing it out so utilization is low. 1/2vcpu 1gb and storage depends on your needs should probably be ok for most use cases.

Perfect, I appreciate the response. I just wanted to make sure I have enough hard drive space for many years but couldn't find any spec requirements online besides servers. Thank you much!

Storage requirements are going to depend on how much you plan to utilise the documents features. If you plan to store a lot of large documents or images you will need the space available to hold it all.

Most Hypervisors let you increase disk size as needed anyway so you can always start low and expand from there

Ours is probably well over specced but it's local, so we don't care. 225MB database, 82k of rows, 200 clients, 400+ domains, 200+ certs monitored, using 4 CPU and 4GB of memory. No slow downs, we can run long results like 50+ assets/domains/certs (this is usually where you notice delays the most) in a few seconds. Local to most of the 5 staff using it the majority of the time tho.

ITFlow is very light on resources for the most part. A modern virtual CPU, 2 GB of RAM and 10 GB disk is plenty. Before we had Jenkins and the develop branch, I used to run a PR Review instance on the oracle free tier. A fraction (1/8?) of a CPU core & 1 GB RAM running multiple ITFlow dev sites just fine.

Even if you're buying a physical server just for ITFlow (which is overkill unless it's a lil micropc), set up something like Proxmox or Hyper-V and run ITFlow as a VM/LCX. It makes your life easier in many ways.

It's very dependent on your environment and how much resources you want to generously carve to your VM. At home I slap 1 vcpu, 2GB of ram and 32GB of storage. At work I put more in because we have over 1200 Ghz of compute and 8 TBs of memory. We have a stack of internal tools we put on too that need more compute and memory though, so I like to be on the safer side because of those tools.
