Email from client does not update the ticket public notes

Newly installed IT flow via script, running on EC2 ubuntu server.

I got M365 set up, app password, etc. For some reason I just can't get this to work. Client is able to submit messages via the portal and that updates the ticket but when the client responds from their email ticket does not get updated. Can you please help me?

Unfortunately, you don't have this setup. The built-in php library we use only supports basic authentication. In their divine wisdom, Microsoft has disabled basic auth for IAMP. App passwords will not work either.

I would recommend looking into oauth2 proxy - https://oauth2-proxy.github.io/oauth2-proxy/

I have a gmail account for this. Everything sent to my support mailbox gets forwarded to the gmail account so ITFlow can make the ticket

@magixnetworks thank you for the suggestion. This worked beautifully! I had to set a mail flow rule in exchange to redirect all emails to the Gmail I've set up and made sure to enable IMAP in gmail. I did not touch anything else (SMTP is already working). I will be posting another question related to client portal access shortly.
