Global Search - Kinda works, but not really?

Hello!

Trying to do a search for a contact, i type in the (with or without @ doesn't matter) and get the following results:

However, if I search for a user's email that includes their username, the @ and tld and get the following results:

User only shows on a direct search, not a general one?

It seems to work for my instance just fine not sure how else to fine tune it.

so if im searching for ben it gives me anything with the word ben in it which is what we want. Does you instance Global search work the same as the demo?
