Date To on Expenses page is resetting

Hi guys,

I just wanted to throw it out there that when I try to set the date to value on the Expenses page, it seems like the application is performing a POST request and what happens is the page refreshes and the date is reset to 12/31/2035 regardless of the value I type in or select using the date selector UI.

So if click on "Today" for instance, the page refreshes and the Date To value goes back to 12/31/2035.

If I click on "Today", the second I click on it the page refreshes as if a POST request is being submitted.

If I start to type in a date in the box, as soon as I type any number, so say I clicked on 2035 and I wanted to change the year to 2024; as soon as I hit the "2" key, the page reloads.

Where's the "OK" button?

Yeah, I meant "Today".

What browser are you using here?

Microsoft Edge. I have disabled all tracking prevention for our ITFlow instance. I also run the uBlock Origin extension but have disabled that as well for the site.

I also have Firefox Developer Edition installed and it happens in that browser as well. Same thing on the privacy settings. Enhanced Tracking Protection is turned off and uBlock Origin is disabled for the site.

The site is hosted on a VM at one of our locations. I'm connecting to the site on the VM's private IP address and not over the public internet so the traffic isn't being routed through our firewall, which has IPS and IDS services running, nor am I connecting to the site through any external service that could be filtering traffic, such as Cloudflare.

But in Firefox Developer Edition, I can start to change the value of the year, and the page doesn't reload. It only happens after I complete the full year value. Meaning, I can type "202" and the page doesn't reload. It only happens after I add the "4", for a complete value of "2024".

I find it interesting that it's not happening when any changes are made to the value in the "Date To" input box.

I looked at the expenses.php file and there's no difference between the "…To" and "…From" input fields.

It submits the form when you change the date.

If you want to filter for expenses between dates, adjust the date from and then the date to.

I get that. I'm trying to set the date to box to 12/31/2024 to filter everything in 2024 from the Expenses page. I'm blaming my accountant for this and I'm sorry about taking up your time with it.

The default value in the date to box is 12/31/2035. When I click on the 2035, I'm trying to type 2024, as soon as I type 2 the entire date changes to 12/31/0002, because I haven't finished typing the 024. As soon as my finger is up off the keyboard, the entire page reloads, and the date is back to 12/31/2035.

Let me see what I can do about getting a vid recorded.

So what happens if you set the Date From to something like 2007 first and then select the Date To, hit delete and enter the date? It shouldn't submit until you're done entering, but that is based on the browser.

Alternatively you can edit the dtt param in the URL bar (it'll show once you start messing with the dates, but you need dtf as well).

First, thank you for responding to me. I'm aware of this being an open-source project and you're not on payroll for this stuff.

It's not doing what I saw in the demo when using the date picker gui and part of the behavior is what is happening when selecting the year (via left click) and then attempting to type a different numerical value for the year.
