sharlene182 Currently, CC’ed people don’t get notifications because the system doesn’t recognize them as watchers. Adding them automatically would ensure they stay informed without extra steps. What do you think?
wrongecho Happy to look into this. I see two scenarios where this might be useful: The obvious situation is when the ticket is created by the e-mail parser. I agree that anyone copied here at the time of creation would be good to be added as a watcher. The situation that confuses me a little would be if the client is responding to the ticket via e-mail and then just happens to copy someone else in on one of the emails. Does this person get added as a watcher then?
digibandit johnny Agreed! wrongecho Does this person get added as a watcher then? Yes, but what about then adding an "email all(contact, watchers, techs) / email only (contact)" option on send but only when watchers exist? Might help with keeping everything straight forward.
johnny Hey @wrongecho good observation but I would agree with both during to add the cc during ticket creation and on replies as well.
wrongecho @johnny I never wanted to go back to Webklex and now I remember why. They don't even have a quick way of parsing CC's. What is this insanity.
johnny @wrongecho Im surprised it doesn't, maybe give em some time or maybe open a an issue report in hopes they add it some day, but I agree I didnt want to go back to webklex IMAP, but it was the only viable option as php-imap was deprecated.
