wrongecho I don't use the timer. Clearing the fields to see what is behind. The placeholder is a very bizarre default that I would recommend changing.
Not once during the course of any of this have I thought to press the play button and see what happened. Alas, it does indeed show the hour minute, second, if you clear the fields
My vote would be to either change the default to have absolutely nothing inside of these fields so that you can see what the field labels actually are or to append it or to add it in a different manner.
I make comments and recommendations not only towards things that seem to be broken, but for those things that have poor defaults as you said it was paramount to have good defaults.
