NOOB questions

Hello. This is looking pretty cool. I just installed using the script. Had a few questions.

I have it hosted in cloud, no DNS records for my domain yet. Will it function with my static IP? - The reason I ask is because I did the setup and I'm at login page. I type my login information and it accepts it, but it just reloads the login page over again.

Where do I find information for DNS records..? I wondering if that is why. Maybe I have to run setup over again after records are created?

I'm pretty green when it comes to this stuff, I know basic commands and such, any help is appreciated.

If you don't have a HTTPS connection, logins won't work unless you adjust $config_https_only in config.php

yes you will want to have a DNS record created then run the ITFlow install script

for example itflow.mybigitfirm.com

Ok, I redid it…. I made an A record pointing to itflow.domain.ca

I waited a long time but its not going to the public IP of my server.. can I set it up using the IP address or do I need to wait for DNS to finish doing something?

You need to expose ports 80 and 443 to the world. You may have to setup port forwarding on your firewall for it to work.

Awesome, thank you.. I was using AWS Lightsail and thought it was open default 443…. thanks again, I will come back with other questions eventually lol
