Settings -> Mail -> Test IMAP Connection Fail

My colleague just got ITFLow up and running on a VM today.

Configured the email account to be monitored (email service from migadu.com)

Configured the IMAP and SMTP settings, including security settings.

When pressing the Test IMAP Connection button, it waits for about 1 minute and gives "Test IMAP Connection Fail". Attempting to log into the email account via webmail and IMAP on BetterBird (Thunderbird fork) works just fine.

Is there anything I should be looking at to fix this?

go ahead and test IMAP connection again and sent the php logs pertaining to it. The logs will hopefully show us the way.

This is almost always due to incorrect port/security settings. Are you exactly replicating the settings you're using in Thunderbird for IAMP?

Hi there,

I managed to solve this in a strange way. I changed the Security from TLS to SSL (in IT Flow) and it works.

No idea why, Migadu indicates Security to be TLS but it does not work via IT Flow.

Glad you managed to figure it out!

Apparently the difference between the TLS and SSL flags are very subtle and might be a little misleading, see here.
