Generate Password Option

Looking to add a generate password option to the client add and edit modals.

I suggest using DinoPass - Simple password generator for kids as well, as my clients always LOVE their autogenerated passwords.

I love DinoPass, we use it for our clients as well.

The only problem we don't want to necessary rely on third party sites if we don't have too.

One of these reasons is privacy and to reduce our attack vector

Could DinoPass be implemented locally somehow or something like it.

I think this is a great solution and rationale. I can spend some time later this week looking at that.

psiiota why not implementing the same auto password generator function as in logins?
when the client gets the email with their account info it should say that they can/should change the password on their own and maybe also instructions on exactly how to (for rigid people).

I was most certainly going to use the frontend from that screen, just going to add it to every password field I can, and overhaul the backend code to produce "Readable" passwords.

@johnny Looked for this and came up with nada. If you could point me in the right direction, I can put a technical writer on it tomorrow.

Whilst your enthusiasm is great, I just caution that backend overhauls are probably the exact opposite of what I'm going for right now. We're trying to finish off the 1.0 milestone issues and get the code tidy/stable for the initial release.

We've lots of great feature requests in the forum we'd love to jump on but we really need to get a stable 1.0 out the door and come up with a plan for ongoing development.
