Archive/Delete Accounts

I believe you are able to, if the account is empty.

But my situation is that I made a "Test" account and set the opening balance to $2,000 which doesn't reflect real money and I can't get rid of it.

Any solution on that?

This is true, You can use the transfer function to move money out of the account and on to another one. Which will make it 0.00 then archivable.

oh I see, hmmm best bet is to go into the database itself via phpmyadmin and 0 out the opening_balance field under accounts table

ideally it should be considered a revenue, I totally agree, Ill work on that one for sure

What I tried to do is, I created a new account "Account Adjustment" with opening Bal of -$2,000 (negative two thousand) and transferred over from the "test business account" so both equaled out to $0.00

So I successfully archived the "Account Adjustment" account, but the "test business account" even if it's $0.00 the archive button doesn't show up:

Bigbug sorry for bothering… any updates on that?
it annoys me a lot as I can't remove that account even if it's 0.00 (as seen in screenshot above).

@Bigbug it should absolutely allow you to remove.

It also has another check if the online payment account reference this account you will not be able to delete as well

Goto Administration > Online Payment

If stripe is disabled, enable it

under account make sure the account you want to delete isnt selected.

Then you can turn off stripe and try to archive the account
