Restoring backup database

Hi guys.

i was searching on the forum for help on how to Restore database backup.

I am new to Ubunto, and i am running my own lab for ITFLow. basically i am trying to learn how to restore a database backup that i have downloaded on my VM. it is a brand new machine, and i have made some minor changes on it.

Since it is a lab machine, i would like to know if someone could provide a step by step on how to restore database on a brand new VM ITFlow machine.

Please explain in details, since i checked on some related questions here on the forum, but they just tell what to install and config, but not the details.

My plan is to make short videos on how to restore, i believe this would relief the shoulders of the devs in this forum.

To make this just backup the whole Virtual Machine Nightly. When things go sideways just restore from backup

Backups are likely best achieved by creating some sort of image/snapshot of the entire virtual machine running ITFlow. This allows you to easily capture the files & database.
