Cant upload photos to files (.jpg)

When I try to upload a file that is a photo (and in .jpg) it looks like the file is uploaded however it never is actually added.

Process:

Open customer
Open Files
Click 'Upload File' select is using the dialogue box
Click 'Upload'
Get the green tick saying 'File Uploaded'
The file doesn't appear in the file list and the counter (in the left hand menu) doesn't change.

Notes:

Running Windows 10,
Tried with both Chrome and FireFox
Have tried to both change the filename and not (no difference)
Selected the file from several locations (i.e. desktop, root C:\, etc)
Can upload other .jpg and .png files (<1MB)
Photos I'm trying to upload are approx 1mb to 4mb in size

Have I missed something in the documentation or a system setting regarding file sizes?

I have just setup ITFlow from scratch and am having a similar issue. Choosing a 9kb jpg for a contact photo. I get the following message in a green popup in top right.

"There was an error moving the file to upload directory. Please make sure the upload directory is writable by web server.Location updated"

I expect this is simple enough? I'm using http only if that makes any difference to troubleshooting.

Hey, sorry for the delay.

This is very likely that you don't have the correct permissions on your server for Apache to write to the directory. Apache should be able to write to the /[ITFLOW]/uploads/ directory. This is generally achieved using chmod -R 755 /var/www/html/uploads.

There are a few chown and chmod commands at the bottom of the install guide that might be helpful to run through.
