Avatar Issues

When I attempt to upload a jpeg or PNG image as a users avatar It seems that the image is uploading incorrectly; when I have tried a 1080p image and a 720p but to no avail. Once I upload the image I am seeing the below:

Not sure if I am uploading the image wrong or using a unsupported resolution.

Is it just user avatars you're having a problem with, or are other uploads not working either?

I just tried to upload a .txt file into the documentation section and that also seems to be having an issue, when I clicked on the file name in ITFlow i got a 404: "The requested URL was not found on this server."

I am unsure if my FW is blocking the upload, does it use another port that is not 443?

Possibly an issue with your web server permissions. Apache needs access to modify files in the Web directory, for updates and uploads. Replace /var/www/html with the path to your web dir root.

sudo chown -R www-data:www-data /var/www/html

sudo chmod -R 775 /var/www/html

Good day, Thank you for the reply. My apologies for the delayed response.

unfortunately changing those permission settings did not resolve the issue. In case it helps at all I am getting a 404 error whenever I attempt to access previously uploaded files and or images.

If you navigate to /var/www/html/uploads/1 (replace html with whatever directory ITFlow is installed into), are there any files at all uploaded?

Could you please share some details about your ITFlow installation? What's your OS & how did you install?

Hi @wrongecho ,

I have ITFlow running or a proxmox VM with Ubuntu Server 22.04,

I went to /var/www/html/uploads/ I was able to see some dirs Clients, expenses, settings, tickets, tmp, users; navigation through those folders I was unable to find anything that I attempted to upload.

I could not find "/var/www/html/uploads/1"

Thanks for the update. Please ignore the mention of the 1 subfolder, this was back when ITFlow supported multiple companies.

Could you please try uploading something and checking the Apache error log? You should be able to run tail -F /var/log/apache2/error.log and then perform the upload to only see the relevant lines.

Also:

Do you have any sort of WAF / Proxy in front of ITFlow? Uploads should just use whatever port your web server does as part of a POST upload, but sometimes web app firewalls are a little aggressive.
How are you connecting to ITFlow? Via the Internet, VPN, etc?
Are you able to replicate this across browsers & connections/locations (i.e. we've seen some people having login issues only on their VPN - was a misconfiguration on the VPN concentrator)?
Have uploads ever worked for you?
Are updates working for you?
How did you install ITFlow?
