Massive UPDATE! - PLEASE READ Before and After you update

We just released a massive update that removes Mult-Company Functionality and brings with it a ton of small bug fixes and UI updates.

Backup Your ITFlow Instance
Make sure you have only 1 Company
Make sure the company_id is 1 in the SQL Database
Update (DO NOT LOG OUT)
Then update Database right after
Move folders from /uploads/clients/1/* to /uploads/clients/
Move Files from /uploads/settings/1/* to /uploads/settings/
Move Files from /uploads/expenses/1/* to /uploads/expenses/
Move Files from /uploads/tmp/1/* to /uploads/tmp

Will update these instructions as issues arise. The demo and 3 other instances tested great so far

Well it has been 2 days and I'm guessing the update went well for everyone phew..

With VMWare, I've done some snapshots. Miss this instructions first. Revert to previous snashot.

After couple tests, I found there is two tables where to fix the company_id:

companies
settings

After those 2 tables modified, I was able to update the database.

@Wikiphil Good point I totally forgot about settings. I'm glad the upgrade went well.

1.0 is coming soon we are in the process of polishing everything off before release

Noob here needs help completing these post update tasks!

Or should I just wait for the 1.0 release?

fatek If you skip the database update step you can do it manually after. As far as I'm aware, that's the only caveat. My advice on a personal level is do the update, if something breaks (unlikely) it'll be a learning experience. Please report back your experience, we're here to help just in case.

Any advise on if you just hit update and walked about came back and the page would not load?

paul To update the database manually, go to url/database_updates.php

Don't forget to move the files as stated above.

Edit:

In case you get "Cannot access this file directly." Try to ssh into server and run the file directly

I hadn't read this and did an update, now my installation is broken, how do I get it back to working?

26podcast You have to run the database updates found in database_updates.php. If you try it in a browser I believe you will get an error because you're not signed in. You might be able to run it in SSH.

Example: php /path/to/file/database_updates.php

Then move your files as stated in the first post. I haven't gotten any feedback from anyone using this process, let me know if it works.
