Smells like phish…
Aaqif just look at Johnny's profile here on the forum i think that is very transparent
Aaqif I ran multiple pictures of that site you mentioned thru the same AI detector and the results where 99% positive that it is AI gen
in any case if you don't trust the developers you can look at the code yourself, that's why it's open source
our awesome devs here don't have to give up even an ounce privacy, and you should appreciate what they're doing for the community
in any case we don't know your intentions with this whole investigation… you might just be an innocent ultra curios guy but here is not the place for that (i think) @johnny do you agree?
I understand your point of view 100%
Let me tell you why I wanted get to know more information about @johnny and the team,
I recently started a small company called Bscaling.com , where we offer IT services. During my research for a tool,
I came across ITFLOW. I promise you, I love the immense work that Johnny, his team, and the entire community have put into ITFLOW. and Obviously After joining the forum, my trust in the developers has grown significantly. If they weren't legit, they wouldn't respond to this chat. I respect the time and effort the team and the community put into responding to discussions.
Since we're dealing with customer credentials, I wanted to do a bit more research before diving in. I found mostly positive feedback about ITFLOW on Reddit, but there were concerns about the company's transparency, especially regarding the founder's identity.
Some users mentioned that they were hesitant to enter their credentials into a platform where the Company's identity is not clear. I understand the founder might be concerned about his privacy, but I wanted to gather more information to address these concerns.
These are not my words, and I don't fully agree with them.
I just wanted to do my own research and maybe clear the doubts of others as well.
I've shared my honest opinion here on this forum, and I hope you understand my perspective.
But if you feel that I look suspicious after I literally gave you all my information from business to my entire biography,
I don’t know man what else to say here, but, you all can agree, that the information of the end team is not Tangible,
I DON’T know man, you tell me,
Aaqif
Now @johnny and @Bigbug and the rest of the Team,
Please dont be offended, or angry reading the above,
this is just my personal concern that i wanted to get sorted,
If you dont want to answer this, or you thing i am just a troublesome please let me know,
Now you guys litterally know all info about me but i know nothing about you,
but anyways, ill stop from here, there is no point for me to keep this going i was genuingly curious,
But now i feel like that bad guy who came and ruined a family,
Anyways I bought a legitmit concern do your own research on redit and youll find out what im talking about,
Sorry for the trouble, and good luck with the progress
@Aaqif Have you had much involvement in open source projects? I feel like your expectations are completely out of whack. ITFlow is a community project made up of like-minded individuals trying to solve a common problem. It's very different to using commercial software with a VC firm behind it.
We're not really a company as such. With anything, there's a bit of beer money to be made on the side; yes, Johnny and I have started to offer donator/paid-ish support, and might eventually offer hosting, but we're not a "start up" or anything. I am so incredibly thankful for our sponsors, but it's not as if Johnny and I are rolling in cash because of ITFlow. My company bills me out at £200+ an hour for infra support. Johnny and I offer essentially unlimited support for $60/mo. If a sponsor uses just an hour of my time, that's less than a third of my usual pay. I'm not in this to make money, I'm here because I like technology, coding and problem solving, the sponsorship is just an encouragement to direct my free time in a certain direction.
Whilst our feedback on Reddit is mainly positive, I honestly could not give any less of a fuck what is said over there. You can make the same post on Reddit on three different days: The first might be downvoted, the second might reach the frontpage for that subreddit with lots of support, and the third might get removed by the mods. It's not something I lose sleep over.
I've put hundreds of hours into this project - if someone doesn't want to use it, it's down to them. It's not a trashy freemium tool. It doesn't send your data to third parties without your consent. It doesn't tie you into a scammy contract. You can use EVERYTHING, for free, with full access to the code. You can even make posts here on the forum, and receive help from others, again for free. We are providing almost everything a commercial tool offers, and more.
The line that really got my back up, for multiple reasons, was "establish yourself as a legitimate expert". Like, we have done all this, and you still want more? You want us to doxx ourselves just so that you feel "safe" to use the software we are providing to you, for free? I'm not going to beg you to use ITFlow. Go ahead and use something else, it won't make an ounce of difference over here

After that response,
All I can ask is to please exept my sincere appologies,
I didnt mean to offend you in any manner, I feel the amount of emotion that's on the message you typed in here,
I feel really bad, I agree as i am not a very deep open source user and i wasted all of you guys time,
Ill take this as a good lesson for my self, again sorry to you and the team as well,
and thank you for taking your time to respond to my question
Probably time to wrap this up.
