Hey Jim,
Thanks for getting in touch again! Your other post was here, I believe. I've added your suggestion to my Trello.
I've read your post with the understanding that the MSP is supporting a client that has an internal IT manager and junior tech. This is an interesting situation and hasn't really been accounted for as far as I'm aware. ITFlow has been more built with the idea of the MSP running everything (but making it easy to share information with the client - e.g. Export PDF) as opposed to actively collaborating with the client.
Initially, we had the ability for the client to log in to the same panel as the agents and just tried hiding options/other clients but it became apparent this wasn't going to work long term.
We've just finished adding the client portal (at /portal) which allows contacts to raise/reply to/close tickets. We plan to allow client contacts to access documentation (potentially only the primary contact needs to see certain documents?). We could potentially add write access for the primary contact too, I'd just be keen to hear others opinions on it first.
Giving access to client contacts to view passwords is tricky (outside of the "share link" functionality I mentioned last time) due to the way the login entry encryption works. As a process, I don't think sharing all logins between the MSP and client is a good idea for everyday use - they should have separate logins really. I'm keen to hear what others think about this too, though.
I know aftecho was looking into read access for documentation via the client portal earlier in the week, so we might not be that far off getting part of this functionality!
Again, thanks for getting in touch & we're keen to hear more ideas!
