Are ACH payments added to Stripe?

I don't believe so. It was mentioned a few months ago as a bug because they shouldn't be showing up, but nobody was able to reproduce it at the time.

Would there be a reason to not include the ability to take payment using ACH?

yeah it caused issue with expensing the transaction as it used a different flat rate and percent rate.

There really is no good way of getting the expense from Stripe, we tried and it caused even more issues

Plus Credit / Debit cards are much more safer anyway.

Actually we may add ACH payments back in and use a different expense specifically for ACH for the next release

Credit Cards are 2.9% + 30¢

ACH is 0.8%

Yeah, ACH is cheaper but we were still expensing it at the standard rate. It's a US thing so I've never had a chance to test it being in the UK.

I prefer the lower fees and some people request ACH.

The expense issue shouldn't prevent having the option to accept payment. Slap a warning on it.

Ultimately I can't test ACH, so please feel free to create a test client and see what works/doesnt and report back.

ACH is not showing as an option. Link was, but I turned that off because it is the same rate as CC.

Is there a reason Link would show up to facilitate ACH, but not ACH itself?

Yeah link just seems to bully their way in and no way deny it access unless you specifically turn it off on the stripe dashboard.

Ill work on a solution for ACH on next release.

I see that ACH is available to add as a saved payment, just not available when clicking through to pay an invoice. I have not yet added a bank account because it says it make take a few days to validate.

I beg to differ. I haven't been around for a while but a month ago we accepted a 1500 Project via ACH through stripe. Itflow showed the client that the transaction had failed. so he repeated 3 times. All 3 instances were accepted and processed. Definitely something that needs to be checked on if it's not supposed to be showing.

I'm not sure how many times I can say "this is a bug" and people tell me it's not but also that it's not working properly and that it should 😂

We haven't built or tested any workflows for ACH and I have no idea why it shows up. Again though, I'm in the UK.
