Hi, can someone please explain what /settings_custom_fields.php is? And where do I find it afterwards in assets?

Hi @Bigbug Custom fields are still work in progress. The Structure is there we just need to branch out hopefully by next week we'll have something there

just curious what extra fields did you want to add to assets. If they are not unique to your use case we may just implement your fields globally?

The unique url to that asset/desktop in my remote support site that takes me directly to that desktop.

I think it may make sense to add for everyone as most remote agents have a direct url attached

now we just need to give the field a proper name, we are open to suggestions?

We just added URI field to assets if URI is set then a little external link icon will appear next to the asset name allowing you to click and open an external URL this should suffice.

Hello,

I would like to have an Asset Tag or Number field in the Customer Assets. I've added in the custom fields. But looking above this function is not added or working yet. That's cool just wanted to put my 2cents worth in.

Typically you would use the asset name field as the asset tag and then use asset description to be more descriptive of the asset.

Example

Asset Name: ASH07 Description: Front Right POS Terminal

DEP01 Reception Desk
