I would vote to make it configurable. 30 days would be ideal to me.

Can't always get the client to agree to the renewal in 14 days. Especially with people on PTO, ect…

I'm gonna rework the notifications and alerts settings section to look like the following: (Thoughts?)

Alert Options Notification Method (App Notify, Email, ticket)

Domains Expiry [On/Off] Days [ ] oNotify oInternal Email oClient Tech Email o Create Ticket

SSL Expiry [On/Off] Days [ ] oNotify oInternal Email oClient Tech Email o Create Ticket

Stale Ticket [On/Off] Days [ ] oNotify oInternal Email oClient Tech Email o Create Ticket

Notification methods will be check boxes

Notify - will be in app notify
Email Will send email to configured distribution list
Create Ticket will create a ticket

Also these will be separated by a header in sections:

Technical
Billing

Has there been any consideration around expiry notifications, namely:

In our ITFlow instance, the ability to set tech email notify is all blank, same as demo, so no email notifications of upcoming expiries?
Domains and SSL certificates show in notifications, but can hardware eg, a server, be checked (probably just against whatever you've entered as the expiry date)? That said tho, you may not want all hardware notifying you (eg, docks, laptops etc)
What about varying expiry, eg, I removed 90 and 120 days as a test, of course they came back in with a subsequent update, but we don't need to know about a LetsEncrypt cert expiring until say, 14 days, as it should have renewed by then. However, other certs may need longer times if the client has a lengthy approval process
It seems like there is no ability to differentiate notifications between domains/certs/anything else, all just rolled through one setup?
I used this cron documentation originally: https://docs.itflow.org/cron and have also added the cert refresher to see if that alters the behaviour much, eg updating dates automatically

Merged into the thread you found as it became a general notification feature thread anyway.

These are good points. The notification system/settings is very much in its infancy, we were just focused on getting some sort of notification for different things so they are kinda rolled up into one at the moment.

We really need to go through and make things consistently configurable. We did start this (as now above), but I guess it's a little confusing because until all the logic is added all the settings boxes are just blank.
