Good day Support

I am looking at intergrating payfast payment module to the system to allow customers to be able to pay via debit/credit card, Instant EFT and debit order for invoices and also recurring invoice. How would we untegrate that into the system? Here is the link for the payment module below.

We have no plans on integrating payfast at the moment currently we only have stripe integrated as the only payment provider. However we are open to git pull requests for additional payment providers as long as the current development guidelines are met.

@hvmoyo sometime In the future l would like to work on a framework for multiple Payment providers support.

One thing they all have in common is the use of keys so we may create a separate table for online payment providers with their corresponding keys and references to their API code syntax.

Unfortunately we do not use authorize.net and do not have an account to properly test and develop.

However we do have plans for a framework for these online payment providers to make it easier to add additional providers.

This single feature is holding me back from adoption. I'll contribute $100/mo for 3 years to get this feature quickly,

From looking at their Github, they have a PHP SDK so probably wouldn't be too tricky.

Note that we only integrated Stripe to do one-off payments, rather than recurring. Invoices are recurring but you have to manually pay them each time.

Again probably worth mentioning neither myself or Johnny are "developers", we're just sysadmins who write code.

My only reservation about adding more payment providers is that it's a little like the whole "integrate ITFlow with X" discussions we get - ideally we'd like people to use the API - but I get for payments writing your own API integrations is probably quite scary and dangerous.

But when does it stop? Should we add all the big players too (PayPal, BrainTree, Amazon, etc)?

Created this thread to track requests for different types of payment integration.

ITFlow currently just has built-in integration with Stripe. It would be nice to add at least one additional third party to reduce vendor lock in.

Providers mentioned so far:

Authorize.net x2 ($25/mo fee just to sign up)
Paypal (abandoned PHP SDK)
Payfast
Cardknox
Helcim (doesn't support UK)

I do not think we should spend development resources rewriting the wheel here.

Online payments work. And they work via Stripe.

If there is a good reason to add another payment provider, please let us know.

I would see it most beneficial to the community to expand the online payments in other areas.

It is an unfortunate reality in today's political landscape that if I am 'canceled' because of some supposedly disagreeable online post somewhere at ANY point in time, the option needs to be there to change processors so I can continue to collect money owed.

JosephWithCOR Totally agree with you as well. I should rephrase Its not that we won't implement other payment providers, its just something were not going to take on until after 1.0 is release. We are still open for other developers to push PRs but we ask that they obey by our coding standards so keeps the code neat and tidy.

In our MSP we are strictly checks or ACH auto payments although we do have a client that simply refuses to pay that way so we have him using stripe.

Yeah this is tricky. We do have Stripe but if they double their fees or get acquired by Broadcom tomorrow we'd be scrambling for an alternative.
