Hi, I see the current way of recording/calculating time spent on a ticket is hard to work with
as sometimes you need to close the browser (like when you perform on-site support), or navigate away from the tickets page.
Would I suggest a different way of dealing with that:
instead of the "timer with play/pause button" there should be a "Punch In/Punch Out" button and calculate time between the recorded in/out time stamps, that way you could easily navigate away or close the browser.
Also add on the main top-nav-bar a Ticket Icon with a red badge indicating the number of currently punched in tickets - because you can sometimes forget to "Punch out" of a running ticket - and when clicking on that Ticket Icon it should pop up a list of all currently "Punched In" tickets where you could easily "Punch out" of any given ticket
Also maybe (optional) send an email to the assigned tech every 14 min that he's still punched in and shouldn't forget to punch out.
