I went into my portal and saw that there were updates, I clikc update button like a normally do and the browser just flashes for a sec and says update successful, but nothing actually happens and it still shows the same updates. Can anyone help me please?

@johnny is there anyway you can remote in and look at this? Your account is still active. It just doesnt update. I also noticed the default go to page doesnt work either, it just says blank page and I have it set to clients. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Hey @smcs can you restore from backup or snapshot and try again?

hey @ZCman can you post any PHP log during the time you updated,

also please copy and paste the your debug here Administration > Debug

@johnny sorry been out a few days, I will restore from backup and see what happens. If that doesn’t work do you want me to gather logs? I honestly don’t know what to do if the restore doesn’t fix it.

yes please do gather logs, so we can see where its breaking also once you restore but before you update copy and paste the debug report in this thread.

actually before you restore from backup, Drop to shell as root cd into the itflow directory and type sudo -u www-data git pull and paste any output here

@johnny I did the restore an older database and that changed nothing unfortunately. I am not sure how to do the rest of what you said because I am on a hosted platform. Below is the debug log.

    [Redacted]

I went back an entire month and no matter what I try the update just flashes and says successful, but all of the update are still showing and no changes.

@johnny Is there anyway that you could help me get this fixed? It is impacting my business and I do not know where the failure is happening at. I would be ha[[y to hire you to fix it for me, if you would.

    Hey @smcs

I've swapped the tag from Bug to Support as this seems to be an issue unique to your environment/setup. So far this always seems to be a permissions / Git config issue.

We do have a donator support program now. The support is still best effort mind you, but given SSH access to troubleshoot a little deeper this should be fairly easy to fix in my opinion.

Edit: Also, I removed your environment variables from debug.

@smcs and @wrongecho I have opened a private chat regarding this matter, as this setup is a little unusual and is on a shared hosting platform and does possibly require some further intervention.

@johnny where do I go to access chat?

Also, I can get you access to all of my stuff, so you can look at it. This is acting the same as last time you remoted in to my system and found the issue in a database table.

As discussed, issue was caused by a manually added Favicon file (prior to us having support for them). Any files added/edited outside of the ITFlow Github will cause updates to break.

    Marking as resolved.
