@JosephWithCOR I love the idea.
Here's how I Envision your ideas working within ITFlow
This will have to be performed in the assets list section
Select the assets you want to open a ticket for
- click Bulk Actions
- Then Click Create Tickets
- Will open a normal Create ticket modal, it will use the assets you selected
- For Contact you can choose one contact for all tickets or you could choose the option to use Assigned Asset Contact.
- You can fill in all the ticket details as you see fit
This will open up a separate ticket for each asset
I think it's a great idea to define the asset in the subject line when an asset is chosen, whether for bulk ticket opening or for a single ticket.
However, there's a concern to consider: if you open 20 tickets and assign them all to one contact, the system will send 20 emails to that contact simultaneously for each ticket. I'm unsure of the best solution, but I'm open to suggestions.
One possible approach could be to disable email notifications if a bulk action opens more than 5 tickets and they are all assigned to a single contact. I'm not certain this is the best solution, so I'm open to other ideas.
