IMAP GMAIL

So I am unsure how to see what this issue is but I have setup ITFLOW and have SendGrid doing my smtp. However I can't get my IMAP to verify. SMTP works fine to send but i cant monitor incoming. Any ideas or suggestions. Im using an app password with google. Tried 993 ssl and and tls but nothing works.

wrightwaytech I also use Google, and IMAP is working with these settings. You also have to make sure that IMAP is enabled in Gmail inbox settings

Bigbug is there anything else you had to do. I installed from the script, cron is turned on, did I miss a step?

hmm mine is enabled and i have tried actual password as well as an app password… any ideas how to fix

Also I have my full email in as login i just whited it out in the image

@johnny wanted yo make sure you saw this. ubuntu 22.04 with install scripts works as expected… debian 12 with imap gmail does not work I recreated the issue on multiple providers. vultr, interserver, etc all the same result but ubuntu 22.04 and the script works as expected.

Hey. We don't test the install script on distros other than Ubuntu. Running something else is fine, but we're not going to spend ages troubleshooting it with you when we know Ubuntu works.

That said, sounds like a PHP Extension issue.

Either way, glad you managed to figure out a solution.

It was just Ubuntu last time I checked. That's what Johnny and I run ITFlow on anyways.

You can totally make ITFlow work on almost any Linux OS (I think someone here even had it running on FreeBSD) but you just need the troubleshooting skills to match. There are always subtle differences between OSs and even minor versions of the same OSs.

It does state Debian 12 on the github I knew I saw it somewhere.

Installation via Script (Recommended Method)

Requirements

Clean Install of Debian 12 or Ubuntu 22.04
A public IP Address
Ports 80 (HTTP) and 443 (HTTPS) TCP accessible from the outside in
A Fully Qualified Domain Name pointing to the public IP Address – example itflow.example.com

Of course either way super grateful yall have done some amazing work here. Yeah I'm trying to get more familiar with Linux and the backend processes. I'm not quite there yet.

It seems like the below commit suggested Debian as part of the install script but @wrightwaytech has had some issues.

As far as I was aware, we were pushing Ubuntu. Could you please clarify if the intention is to support the base Debian package also?
