jadamczyk22 Crons enabled, IMAP test seems to be successful, the settings are correct SMTP works with same "app password" from my google workspace account, Why would it not be checking the imap inbox?
jadamczyk22 Ok it seems that it reads the emails from the inbox if the email has a client attached to it…but what if a worker or manager from the restaurant sends an email and it's not attached to the client, we'll never get the ticket for it…
jadamczyk22 wrongecho Thank you, but what about this use case? I have a client with 80+ locations of the same restaurant, and each location is just cityname@restaurantchain.ca In this case i'd obviously create a client account for each location, but what about people that arent assigned on a contact? and have the same domain. that could accidentally match to the wrong account
wrongecho jadamczyk22 Apologies if I'm misunderstanding but.. Assuming that restaurantchain.ca is consistent, add it as a monitored domain for that client. When an email is received from the domain, it will create a contact under the client automatically if one doesn't yet exist.
jadamczyk22 But each location will have separate client profiles. Because they are independently owned franchises under the same restaurant name
wrongecho If you're setting up each separate restaurant as a separate client, you'd need to manually add the expected contacts under each client. If you wanted to capture any extra emails, you could create like a "parent" generic client, configure restaurantchain.ca as the website/domain and then all other emails would create tickets there?
