Cron Email to Ticket Parsing not working

Looks like the UTF7 to UTF8 broke Thunderbird from sending mail so had to revert.

@enclavelabs do you mind creating us a Google Workspace account for your domain se we may use it to troubleshoot ticket parsing. Be sure its setup to do IMAP and all that jazz. If you accept ill create a private discussion here in our forum where we can discuss the details

Is there a reason why I need to use google workspace? Currently, I'm using a personal Gmail account configured for IMAP and having just started my business, I'd rather not pay a monthly sub for something I don't really need.

ohhh I see that could be why, I dont think Google Personal supports IMAP without OAUTH, try https://protonmail.com

johnny Google does still offer legacy authentication for free accounts via app password that could be generated in 2 step verification settings in your Google security settings tab

Okay, so just to be sure I understand correctly, there doesn't appear to be any mail service one could use for free that supports IMAP with itflow? If not, that's totally fine- but just curious.

We route our helpdesk emails through PurelyMail. Our helpdesk email routes a few thousand emails, and we send 400-600 monthly.

This is now the error I get using purelymail with SMTP working and the lock file deleted. Also, btw, if apache2 services are restarted, the lock file seems to be regenerated. not sure if that is intended or not.

Make sure you run the latest update as we have removed the UTF7 to UTF8 becuase we thought by adding that it would fix the google error and it didnt

We recently added back the legacy php mail parser for those of you have issues with the new php mailer it will have to be:

manually added to cron
the old mail parser disabled via cron.
Also for the legacy mail parser to work you will need to make sure you have php-imap and php-mailparse php modules installed and enabled. Should be by default if you install ITFlow via script 2 or more weeks ago.

Bigbug This is what I use- an app password generated via 2 step verification. SMTP works fine, however IMAP doesn't appear to be working.

I guess I don't understand the intended function for IMAP and ticket generation - is there a recommended mailing provider to be used with IT flow? So far, I've tried purelymail (paid 10 bucks but emails to my custom domain are blocked for some reason.) I know O365 doesn't work, and I'm currently testing with a free personal google account with an app password for auth. I'm just wondering how other people have this working. Even when you mention adding back the legacy php mail parser for those who have issues- what are the intended services for the new php mail parser vs the old?

I just ran the upgrade again this morning and will report back after reading a few post to see if we're working again.,

the email we use is a branded domain name, but it's running through google admin, so it's essently a gmail account but it has ourcompany.com domain.

we're a non-profit

enclavelabs can you test the same IMAP credentials (username, password, host name, port numbers and encryption) with a different client like thunderbird, outlook and confirm if it works?

I just signed into Firebird using the same google account and app password. Granted, it did prompt me in a separate window to sign into Google using my normal creds and approve the sign-in.
