IMAP stopped working, was working

I had set up my site and emailing tickets inbound was working fine and in the last week my emailing stopped working.

Looking at my syslog I am seeing this error about No MTA installed. I removed the mailparse from PHP after reading some of the other posts noting that the team moved away from mailparse.

I can send a test email fine. I emailed my email and the email just sits in the queue on my email account that receives tickets.

Not sure if some of these errors are related, but I am seeing this errors too. When I search installed PHP extensions they appear to be installed.

There was a recent update to the IMAP library used. It seems to have caused a few issues. Flagging again for @johnny

The "No MTA installed" error relates to the Cron output. By default Cron tries to email errors, and then just discards output.

I would recommend making sure you're fully up to date and then navigating to your ITFlow Web directory and manually running php cron_mail_queue.php {Cron key} and seeing what the actual error is. You might have to run a few times / temporarily suspend Cron / clear the lock file.

When I run that it seems good, my issue might be with ticket_email_parser

I think I finally figured it out. After some debugging. After changing the folder name from INBOX to Inbox and running the script all my emails that were sitting in my inbox had a ticket created.

Roughly line 330 of the file: cron_ticket_email_parser.php (found in /var/www/domainname/)

It has been working for us using INBOX, but ill test with Inbox and see if it still works for us

If not we may to modify the code to look at many possible names of inbox, Inbox and INBOX

Just curious what Email server / provider are you using?

We use Exim and Dovecot

I host my own email using SmarterMail on a Windows based server. I host for several customers.

It is odd, my first thought I had ITFlow installed on Linux (Ubuntu 22) so maybe it did not like it because Linux is case sensitive, because Windows does not care.

Great job on getting a fix out that quick.
