SMTP not working

I have a VPS on hostinger running HestiaCP on Ubuntu 22.04. I have a domain set up with all the DNS configurations and records set up just fine. I am able to send and receive mail on my hosted email account in HestiaCP.

I configure ITFlow with the correct SMTP information. I send test emails. In the email Queue, they all say "sending" but do not actually send.
Please help

Do you have the email sending Cron job setup?

Anything in your ITFlow logs? How about your Apache/Hestia error logs?

I don't know where to look for hestia logs or anywhere else, in the "Audit Logs" this is what I se

Looks like it's getting stuck on something. PHP error logs will likely reveal what.

On the main Hestia Web domains page, click on the binoculars and then error log.

@FoxxUser also go ahead and run that cron job manually from the command line via ssh and let us know what the output is

johnny I used "sudo tail -f var/log/syslog | grep CRON and can see the cron /cron_mail_queue.php running every minute as it should.

FoxxUser - These product/quote errors are just warnings. We plan to tidy them up at some point but they shouldn't affect functionality and can be ignored.

FoxxUser - Try SSH'ing into your server and manually running php /full/path/to/cron_mail_queue.php [KEY]

You could also try enabling the email notification for Cron jobs. You'll get a load of emails from Hestia, but once it retries the script properly it should show you the error. I'm thinking incorrect SMTP details, usually the encryption setting.

Every email says "sending" in the queue. Can I clear that out?

You could try manually deleting the lock file - check if there's anything in /tmp

What happens when you enable the HestiaCP cron email notifications?

The emails in the queue should automatically fail after a few attempts normally. I don't think there's a way to manually clear them short of going into the database.
