Automatic time tracking: The system should have the ability to automatically track the time spent on each ticket. This can be done by starting a timer when a ticket is opened and stopping the timer when the ticket is closed.
Manual time entry: The system should also allow for manual time entry, in case the technician forgets to start the timer or if they need to log time spent outside of the ticket.
Time billing: The system should be able to generate invoices or billing reports based on the time spent on each ticket.
Customizable billing rates: The system should allow for different billing rates for different types of work or different technicians.
Time reports: The system should be able to generate time reports that show the amount of time spent on each ticket, as well as total time spent by each technician or department.
Time tracking notifications: The system should have the ability to send notifications to technicians or managers when time tracking thresholds are reached, such as when a certain amount of time has been spent on a ticket.
Time approval process: The system should have a time approval process in place to ensure that the time spent on each ticket is approved by a supervisor or manager before being billed to the client.
Total spent time on a ticket: The total time spent on a ticket should be visible within the ticket in a small table.
Multiple bills/time entry notes on one ticket: There could be multiple bills/time entries on one ticket, and these should be visible in the Notes/Comment section within the ticket.
Unbillable work log: A button should be added that asks the technician if the work log should not be billed to the customer.
Convenient data input: The window for manual time entry or work log entry should be a pop-up to make it more convenient for technicians to input data.
Trip billing: If a technician is on the field, the system should allow them to enter the address, or retrieve the address from the system automatically so that the trip can be billed as well.
